Do you agree that the early immigrants had a hard life?

Well our answer is yes !
Even though there were some immigrants who had a better and more luxurious life than the others, we thought that there couldn't have been any possible person who got to escape hardships.

so here is our 1st pic :)

The above picture shows the early immigrants queueing up to fill their buckets with water from a huge tank.
Our guess was that the tank comes only once in a while. Therefore, people had to get their fills in many buckets in order to provide for themselves and in activities such as cooking or drinking.
It could be troublesome as the tank could be located somewhere far from the immigrants' home. This could've caused them to make long distance journeys which could be quite tiring.

This picture shows a group of ladies sitting down by a river and doing their laundry. Today, we have washing machines which helps us with all of our laundries, which they did not have back then.

The pails and pails of clothes amazed us as that could be tiring and quite annoying to wash all by the hands. All the scrubbing, splashing and drying could be bone-breaking!

This picture shows a group of kiddos bathing together, probably in a public bathing area which is the only source of  clean water. They had to probably wait patiently for their turn to bathe which could be troublesome if you had an important appointment. 
But despite that, these kids seems really happy in this picture, making them look like they actually enjoy bathing together.

This picture shows a school. Even though it seems just like a classroom, we doubted it as there are children who are of different ages.This place isn't well modified, but the children seems to be enjoying what they are doing. However, the teachers could have a hard time handling the students and attending to each and every of them. We learned that education was not advanced back then, therefore the condition of this run down school.

last but not least : Even though life for most of the immigrants was hard back then, they seemed happy with everything that they had. They cherished each and every things that they had and appreciated it. So all in all, the early immigrants had a hard life , but it wasnt so bad to the point where everything was miserable :)
